ancient kayaker: Dora: five-plank plywood solo canoe

Built from one sheet of 3 mm plywood and 1/4 sheet 6 mm plywood, plus cedar, pine and mahogany. Construction uses chine log seams instead of epoxy eliminating need for glass. Completed in 2088, this was my first successful build. Design objectives were an extremely easy build, fast despite the modest 12 foot length, easily propelled with a double-bladed paddle with only moderate primary stability for a comfortable ride in choppy conditions. She met all the objectives handsomely. She weighs only 10 kg including the rather over-built seat but is surprisingly robust.
