The thread had come as far as 227 posts as of this Sunday the 14th, and with perhaps one or two minor exceptions, all those posts on a difficult subject had been entirely polite, respectful, and on topic. The most complicated, and technical, problem ever faced by an America's Cup Jury...

... I had spent quite a lot of time writing on the aforementioned thread, and the story has not by any means reached a conclusion. The moderator then locked the thread yesterday, when he/she had a number of other options available, short of that. LINK I'll take a break from posting...

lol That is funny, very good! Work it into the presentation?

That's pretty cool Mac, for us multihull dweebs ! But you see I guess that it is also drab and impersonal, and nobody looks like they are having any fun. Does minimalism sell boats?

Anyone who bothers to read this thread - which it really doesn't seem that you have - will find that instead of 'hate and lies', it is more about jury findings and waiting for the same, while OTUSA dragged their feet. ;)

^^^ I can't decide if that entré into this thread was creative or not; Poetry, irrelevant, and by someone else, in the first installment, Then his own concocted fictions, in the second.

 So now there is also a Vimeo page! To add to all the other pages this project is running badly. Rather than having one good page, it is obviously better to have as many mediocre ones as possible, instead. There is no sound on that Vimeo video, Mike, as you found. But this Paul...

^^ Can you find a link to that particular video, Mike? Much of the time in interviews he's making the same point; that he's using a sextant and avoiding other electronics. ... Despite all my sarcastic references to the 'bateau-platforme-medias', today it occurred to me that we've...

... Now, back to our little analysis of Francis Joyon's start, off Royan. I have still not come across any video or other photos in that connection, so this could be the definitive coverage of it! :p Here's what I stitched together after looking at the screengrabs, the chart...

An excerpt from today's item on the trimaran-IDEC's english-language news service: Congratulations to IDEC, for having these excellent translations. I don't know if Francis Joyon likes the idea of having regular video transmissions from the boat, in the way that Coville does for example...

... Finally a few seconds of video, from local TV, even if it is just of the Louloutte being towed into the marina, and you don't properly see the reunion of the brothers - which apparently didn't happen until Yvan got to Tahiti? XrLgj1XmdnU ... Here's a little article with a couple of...

Thanks for the link Corley, it was an interesting read and particularly Gladwell's prior article on the April 2nd report of the Hearings Committee! It seems to me in this scandal, that Coutts has focused all his energy on being critical of the people trying to repair the damage done. Has...

A few posts up I mentioned the couple (Liesbet and Mark) visiting Tetamanu in their 35ft Fontaine Pajot. They left Tetamanu/Fakareva by the south pass a little earlier than Yvan did. He came out behind them and called them up on the radio, and Liesbet has blogged about it from their boat...

An item on French TV's Tahitian site says Yvan stopped at the big Marina Taina, and will stay a few days on Tahiti before going to his brother's place on Raiatea. A larger version of that photo here.
