    We have a nice boxy hull form in our large database menagerie....ostensibly a fast landing craft hull form.
    I'd be more than happy to offer this to John, if he wants to use it, rather than a SS.

    Very kind of you, @Ad Hoc , but I am, despite hickups, extremely pleased with Serenity thus far. @bajansailor , the SOR called for 600kg in pax and cargo. Out of reach of any catamaran.
    @fallguy , you are surely correct: if I loaded the new boat to such an extent, I would have to give a lot of thought to load distribution. No boat is magic. Not even mine.

    Oops, sorry, I missed that bit in your earlier post about the 600 kg cargo capacity.
    This wee 6 metre Poleson cat might be able to cope with 600 kg?

    Not even in stitch and glue plywood?
    Ok, the hull design would probably have to be tweaked a bit, but if they can wrap ally around this hull shape, then plywood should wrap as well?
    I just thought that this was a good example of a 'quart in a pintpot' type of small powercat with good load carrying capacity.

    And that there is an excess of air ingrained water due to the shape of the hulls funnelling the mixture into the prop path

    Correct per se, but the aeration is part of the SOR in this case. Its implications however, have not been correctly catered for during the propulsor selection and application procedure. Here, the devil hides in the tiny details!

    Maybe so.
    Or a pair of 25s. Hmm, can an engine as small as a 25 be installed without a tiller?

    Yes, but why bother when a single, correctly installed and with the right prop, works perfectly fine? Don't keep wasting time on all these speculations and guesses, there are more challenging issues up front to deal with!

    Well, the last I remember there was a drawing of some water diversion structure on the hull, so I don't see the problem with asking. I did not know it was a prop and height issue only.. A friendly question is not a speculative guess.
