Can you ID this small 1960’s/70’s sailboat?

Thank you for a reply. I plan to put a 35 pound thrust trolling motor on it first to check out handling, water tightness, etc. The nearest gas outboard lake is over an hour away, electric 10 minutes.
My concern is the lack of real internal stringers for rigidity, I guess the existing cast in chines do that job? It was used extensively in the Gulf coastal waters sailing so I will assume it won’t break apart. I will post more photos as it progresses, everyone appreciates pics.

Sounds like an electric motor is the way to go then!

I would not worry about a 'lack of real internal stringers' - the hull has curves everywhere, and there are longitudinal spray rails (for want of a better term) in the hull bottom that will add rigidity, and you seem to have added a support / frame where the centreboard was, and even the seating / deck with it's supports at the back will have an effect.
There were probably more stresses put on the hull when it was in sailing mode than what you will put on it w1hen pottering along in fishing mode.
Please do post more photos as your re-fit continues.

I have mounted the adjustable kicker plate. I used an aircraft grade polysulfide sealant, put in all fasteners wet- a real mess. The fasteners installed through the wood I put in wet with epoxy. All bolt heads, nuts will be final sealed with the polysulfide.

My question, I am now moving to painting. Can I use Home Depot’s Marine topside paint both inside and out? 36638BDC-A66C-49AB-BB01-962B2573AE5A.jpeg B3B0CC65-706B-45AD-B45A-EB223A567F03.jpeg 9F40B87E-A756-4B18-AE5F-8C751CF8EF6B.jpeg The boat will remain on the trailer ( out of the water) except for when in use a couple times a month.

Slow going with all the rain and humidity. I went with Wet Edge Polyurethane Sea Foam, expensive, slow drying but the paint is very high quality. Interior de bonded / loose material was removed, fiberglassed or epoxy patched. Inside was primed, painted, and I will try the walnut shell sprinkled on the third Wet Edge coat on the fore and aft surfaces for non skid. I am hoping to get it into the water next weekend then if fall weather permits strip and repaint the bottom. Maybe white. 4C5FF3A4-CBD5-4B71-A360-AB8C01728288.jpeg 703EF682-4BCA-4C79-9E14-29A45D7138A1.jpeg DA7357C9-04A3-4606-9AA2-97FC25B95970.jpeg

Way, way behind schedule, BUT the hull is now drying, Rustoleum bottom paint blue and Topside Sea foam. Hoping to get it finally in the water next weekend…” registration” still a snag, but I will chance it. 860F8F3D-C5B1-4920-81BE-65020A0DA412.jpeg 79F90E51-9E03-4A12-912B-6DBBE73E6E02.jpeg

Registration snags, so I am using the delay to apply the HJDeck EVA foam and walnut shell non skid. The foam has self adhesive, we will see how it wears. Be sure to use a very sharp razor when cutting or high quality scissors as the cut ends may be alittle “ ragged”.
My method for the walnut shell, roll paint on in small sections, filled a jar , used top with number 30 drill holes, then sprinkled on. Drying now, a day? Vacuum off loose walnut, then apply last coat of paint. The walnut shell came from Harbor Freight years ago when I was reloading. 35D0B03D-0DC3-4AD8-BDA7-3AAF642DF18D.jpeg 7FE68DEF-F45A-4A45-BBDB-4C9AF70480AF.jpeg ED09EDAA-E21D-4D03-B65B-55CC0C68A6E3.jpeg

The walnut shell non skid looks good. Time will tell about durability. 271183D0-1180-4B2B-A858-8854E16550C8.jpeg 81A57CB1-FFA5-4919-B0E4-BB46615843DC.jpeg

Your traction choices look good. I am also a fan of the EVA foam, just posted about it in another thread...

How long does the self adhesive last? I put in down on cured polyurethane paint. I am hoping to get years out of it before I may have to scrape it off.
My strategy is if the adhesive starts to fail, I will cut some wooden slat floorboards and lay them over the foam.

I do not know for how long, I have a couple paddle boards with brand-name foam and 3M adhesive that are still in good shape after 6 years but they are stored out of the sun and weather when not in use. I had one small boat have trouble sitting out upside down in the weather for too many years, a simple tarp/cover or a couple coats of an opaque paint over the plain epoxy would have helped.

Finally put the boat in, happy with it. The boat moves with little effort, surprisingly about 3 MPH at idle, about 10-12 ? at full throttle. Windy day, white caps on the open water, it plowed smoothly through very nicely. Wide beam, lots of room. For a sailboat hull, no planing but very comfortable cruising.
Caught five spotted bass, one large mouth, nothing special 2-3 pounders ( very few had any luck at all).
The shakedown cruise was fun, comfortable, success… my teenager son thought it was slow, he has been on to many Bass Tracker boats and has no appreciation for a beautiful, repurposed, one of a kind, 60’s/70’s sailboat. E77CB9F9-8D08-47FB-B097-2428B248AFEF.jpeg
