how big a deal is "Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae)" when (small) boating?

doesn't all water not coming out of a tap have "Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae)" in it?

do I gotta keep extra bottle of water to rinse off the tops of my cans of beer when out in my SOT kayak?

What if someone drinks a big gulp of water infested with Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae)? How sick will they get? Are we talking brown squirts for a couple days or are we talking Medi-Vac to trauma center and call the priest?

Does it matter your age and other pre-existing conditions much?

Dry the top of the can off. A couple seconds of UV will kill anything else.

UV kills algae? Don't algae need sun?
What about when I get spray raw water splashed in my mouth?

Kinda tricky to dry cans in SOT kayak in chop. One thing I learned when dabbling in home beer brewing was there really are invisible wee-beasties floating around everywhere and will get into any open container.
