Hello I am new to the computer I’m a commercial fisherman out of Rhode Island I am looking for plans and lines for the original Novi fishing boats powered by combustion engines “ cape islander”
Any information of where to acquire these plans I would really appreciate, I have found an image of a half model I’ll be 37 foot cape islander but it’s pretty blurry

Go check out the back issues of Wooden Boat magazine. IIRC there have been several articles on Nova Scotia fishing vessels over the years, many with lines plans.

The ones from 30+ years ago. The boats got a bad case of fat arse after that. Every boat a little longer, a lot beamier than the previous iteration. Now they are grotesque.

Downright pretty those chunky girls... for them that need them. We'd all love long sleek boats, but short and fat pays the bills these days....
