Well, I doubt that would be called a valid test of much at all. You might get some idea by making a larger model, self-powered, remote radio control, and running that in slightly choppy water, at various angles to the waves, that is quite different to towing something along in the eddying wake of a boat. If you tested a few different models like that, you might start to get a feel for the comparative differences. But why can you not just find either existing boats, or existing plans, that suit your end use ? This is more like starting from first principles, when others have already tread this ground many times.

 

Yes i know towing have some limitation, It is long story to explain all the story because i chose to go this way, i awere i can fail without some prove design. But now i chose this way. Maybe i test with bigger model.

I just watched the one from the side, were you towing that with a kind of bridle from where the COG is ?

Can you elaborate on the reasons for going down this path of self-designing ?

 

Your design is very like the first boat I built with almost the same length and beam, Although I powered it with 2 x 200HP outboards. Your 25--28knots goal should be easily achieved. Best of luck to you.

She goes through waves nicely and is a very comfortable ride even in choppy waters. Rarely feel any slamming. With strong winds at an angle, it can be a wet ride but pushing the throttle up a bit which forces more volume of water to spray away, then it isn't a wet ride anymore. Overall, I'm happy with it

yes 15degrees and about 5.7 tons loaded
