Will Dragonfly, I disagree on one of your points, there is no experiment. You intend I think, no previous experiment to draw a conclusion from.
I suggest we are all involved in an ongoing continuous experiment, where climate is concerned. It's called wait and see. Observation is the heart of scientific principals.

All; the predictions from AGWers that earth was going to become uninhabitable and the ice caps all melt before 2010, allowed us to observe how wrong their predictions were and are.

Seems you are nit-picking about nothing. Perhaps your definition of "study" is too narrow?

I certainly agree that "observation is the heart of scientific principals." However, your notion of what constitutes an "experiment" is woefully limiting. Many of the advancements of modern science have been made through computer modeling. Computers allow "experiments" to be run that never could be done in real life. Virtually all of astronomy; most of geophysics. Even now much of basic chemistry and biochemistry is done by computer simulation. And it's absolutely essential for modern weather forecasting and climate research.
    ALL? <laugh>
"Wait and see" is for losers.

Does a prudent captain say "wait and see" if we should dog the hatches shut when being pooped by every third wave?

Does a prudent captain say "wait and see" if we should lower some sails when wind gusts are knocking the masts into the water?

Does a prudent captain say "wait and see" if we should man the pumps when water is pouring in through a crack in the hull?

computer models are NOT valid experiments. Those who defend them the loudestv have much invested in computer models even if it's only ideology.
COMPUTER MODELS ARE EASILY DISCREDITED BY ONE WORD.

I feel your pain, Bro. In the past I've had to unlearn ideas that I thought for sure were true, and learn ideas that I was sure were untrue. Best Wishes in your journey.

New York’s $226 Billion Pension Fund Is Dropping Fossil Fuel Stocks
    • At $226 billion, New York's pension fund is one of the world's largest
    • It will divest of its fossil fuel stocks in the next five years, as well as shares in other companies that contribute to global warming by 2040
    • The state comptroller said that it was his duty to set up the fund for long-term economic success in a world that is moving away from fossil fuels
    • San Francisco, Washington and several smaller cities have also adopted fossil-fuel divestment programs

Rotating at 900 knots, or 1040 mph and circling the sun at 66 thousand mph and now we discover we are whipping around in the galaxy at half a million miles per hour, and all these numbers exceed speed of sound, (767 mph; or 667 kn),
no wonder people sound like they're dizzy.
    and sonic boom boxes.

Unless they have a steadying anchor.

Saving forests to fight climate change will cost $393 billion annually
    • Forests could be used to sequester 6 gigatonnes of CO2 per year at a cost of $393 billion per year, or $281 per tonne of sequestered CO2
    • Techniques forest managers might use include lengthen harvest rotations
    • More afforestation – planting trees in areas that hadn’t previously been forest
    • Financially discouraging tropical deforestation would have the largest impact, responsible for at least 30 per cent of the total mitigation
The study was published in Nature Communications.

Those who want to save the planet from CO2 should pay for it. I don't believe CO2 is bad and don't intend to pay for other folks nightmare paranoia. .
