Dont forget, im in russia-the country of resellers, some of them are ready to go ape **** and sell their mothers for a quick buck....If it is I see no reason why you could not use it. Chopped strand mat is normally the cheapest thing available, sold by the kg.

In other words, mats are sold like all other types of fibreglass, in sq.meters here
Of course, I may be dumb, but not THAT dumbflax for the mold, not the actual boat
Yeah, but I'm afraid if i need to get to Sweden, for example, to buy a used boat with somewhat acceptable equipment to outfit my boat-it will need a LOT of fuel, i believe, it probably will be girl jugs everywhere don't you think?Hollow wood is cheaper, but it is possible to make a carbon mast at home. The problem is usually engineering the carbon layup to the home builder abilities.
For a Al mast all you have to do is fire up the engine and cross the border into the EU. You can raise it there and I doubt anybody will notice that you departed Russia as a motorboat and came back with a mast standing. If you are afraid of that you simply take a piece of wood, paint it silver and rig it up as a placeholder. Once in Helsinki or Tallin or somewhere else you buy the real thing and that's it.
