Its the villa Augustus hotel, a converted water tower, in Dordrecht, Netherlands.

    From the hotel website
    Hotel https://villa-augustus.nl/en/hotel/#the-lantern-room
    blurb:
    The Lantern Room
This special room on the top floor of the water tower offers access to the glass lantern on the top, by way of a spiral staircase. The view offers a broad panorama across Dordrecht. In clear weather, you can even see the Euromast in Rotterdam! From here, you can appreciate Dordrecht’s unique location, at the intersection of three rivers: the Noord, the Merwede and the Oude Maas. This is a place with spectacular light, magnificent skies and often an unforgettable sunset.

My wife showing off some of our bees at a craft fair. Our son ordered the the single frame observation hive from a craftsman in Surbia. He had our company name painted on it along with our logo.

Have you had any trouble keeping your bees healthy? My brother-in-law has lost a number of hives over the years.

Yes. Winters in Northern New Hampshire are hard on bees. We are going into our third Winter with bees and hoping to do better than the 50% survival rate of the last two. I'm building a wind break for our 12 hives, today and planning to wrap them in foamboard insulation instead of the commercial hive cozies of past years. I expect better results. The average for the state is 50%, but I know a number of beekeepers who do better. Some of them bring the bees inside, but I'm reluctant to move our bees. I think there's a reorientation issue I don't want to put them through. Probably, they wouldn't even notice. People move hives around all the time.

My hives, peeking out of this morning's snow cover. Good thing I got their sugar on. Bad thing I haven't got their insulation on yet. Got work to do.

An incandescent work light provides warmth. Good luck finding a bulb.

You know, I grow seedlings inside, to get an early start, and I loved incandescent plant lights. Then, they got so hard to find. I bought the energy efficient florescent lights, but had to add a heating pad. Now, I use more energy then before.
