If you want to go into semantics, from what do you think "steaming" is a proper term for the use of an internal combustion engine ?

Don't worry about the e-mail you've mentioned in post #7 Gonzo, like everyone you're entitled to your own opinion about everything, and you also have the right to make statements about that, even if it's contrary to proven facts, like posted in post # 28.

Why should anyone take the effort to try to convince you with a dinghy while you deny the in post # 28 provided proof of the model ?

As posted by Mr. E. in post #24:

Main reason for less vibration in your invention is that the pentagonal wheel on one side of the axle is already and improvement vs. two square wheels.

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

Can a politician ever tell the truth?

Can a religion ever prove their claims? Except for the Flying Spaghetti Monster God.

Will this BS ever stop and we get to something interesting?

    IMHO (well, not so humble)

There are a number of oddly-shaped polyhedera which roll smoothly -- sort of. The most famous of them may be the sphericon.

Personally I think one of the wheels should have seven sides so that it is prime and to make caculations that much harder.

List of inventors killed by their own inventions

‘‘ Franz Reichelt (d. 1912) jumped off the Eiffel Tower expecting this contraption to act as a parachute. ’’

‘‘ Reichelt's jump and fall, his body being removed, and measurement of the hollow created by the impact were captured on film. ’’

‘‘ Horace Lawson Hunley (died 1863, age 40), Confederate inventor, drowned with seven other crew members during a test of his invention, the first combat submarine, which was later named the H.L. Hunley. ’’

note the 8 cranks at various angles on the shaft for smooth propulsion

    P.S.

    Construction and testing:
‘‘ . . . Hunley was designed for a crew of eight, seven to turn the hand-cranked ducted propeller, about 3.5 horsepower (2.6 kW), and one to steer and direct the boat. . . . ’’

Hmm, the drawings show eight crew at the cranks + one to steer . . ? ?

Perhaps the real one was not built as per these plans . . ? ?

    BlueBell . . . _ _ _ . . . _ _ _

I love square wheels, makes for low RPM's and good thrust, if you got the torque.

The thing that I have a hard time with is "inventors" who present an idea (incomplete usually) and never prove it by making a demo.
Easy to say you invented something, if you don't have to do the work.

Well trained horses synchronize their clickety clack to the wheels. I wonder if we could design a hull that did the same. Something square with shallow draft.

For square with shallow draft take note of Bolger's square boats.

I think Gonzo you are honorable however, there are others that "keep knowledge to themselves" (what the word "occultic" means) to the detriment of other men, which makes it easier to rule over them. To think otherwise and believe this is not being done is foolish
