Would I draw a boat just because I saw a model with a beautiful transom?

    You bet I would. I was on vacation, and saw a model of a Tancook Island Schooner. The transom was gorgeous, so since I had some free time, I decided to take a break from my round the world Pinky Schooner design New design for a very old type of boat https://www.boatdesign.net/threads/new-design-for-a-very-old-type-of-boat.64107/ and draw one up. This isn't finished by any means, and I have no plans to build it. I just spent a few hours drawing it up in Delftship. If any one would like to take this further, the model is included. Delft Ship Is free to use, so download and enjoy.

    You rave about the beautiful transom, but none of the drawings do anything to highlight it!
    Not to say that the boat isn’t gorgeous, that it is, and thanks for sharing.
    I tried Google images too, but no pictures of her pretty butt there either, though there was plenty of eye candy.

    Hi David, you might also like the late Daniel Bombigher's transoms, and perhaps his whole designs, the plans are still for sale (not cheap), click the thumbs to go to the design series.

    I thought it was a pretty harmless fetish, and not a rare condition at all among the boater species . . :)

    The original lines of Isaac Webb's 1833 47' New York Pilot Schooner Dream are published by Howard Chapelle in his 1936 book Yacht Designing and Planning.

    Reuel Parker published his take in more modern woodbuilding on Isaac Webb's Dream in his 2005 book - The New Cold-Molded Boatbuilding, on the pages* 5 - 10 - 289 - 296 - 297 - 298. (* in my copy)

    Reuel is currently enjoying his retirement aboard his 53' Sardine Carrier Motor Sailer, but still would be happy to sell a set of plans of his take on the Dream I'll guess.

    If he's out of reach then his friends (David forum link) → BoatSmith and Scott might be able to help out to establish contact with Reuel.
