Spent a long day on Friday:
    • LED lights in cabin installed
    • Removed steering wheel and refitted the leather console after cutting it to size.
    • 12 Volt outlet connected
    • Ignition, buzzer, kill switch & throttle electrics connected and tested.
    • Bilge pumps connected and tested.
    • Removed engine brackets and cleaned the engine.
    • Connected Trim gauge to sender and tested.
    • Connected all navigation lights
    • Fan in cabin connected (its bloody hot in Egypt :D )
    • Removed and cleaned old stainless steel roof mounts that will not be used
    • New Fuel tank cover installed.
    • New priming fuel pump
    • Tail connected after repainting and repair (pain in the back side getting the alignment right)
Engine tested with mufflers, didnt have time to take pics after i cleaned that mess up (degreased the gun wale) tidied up all the lose cables, debris and used my new 12 volt socket with a car vacuum cleaner :)

Next weekend final touches and hopefully some sea trials ! :)

It is looking really good. Try to replace the non-marine parts with marine parts or find out why they are different so maybe you can marinize them for safety sake.

It was mostly a car to be honest, everything was NOT marine ! ignition, fuel sender, cables, horn wiring etc. now its back to being a boat

What a project. A lot like my Sea Ray restoration. Good work. I like the new dash.

I don't know if you can get parts by mail in Egypt, but most of what you need is available on the internet. Of course the shipping costs will be as much as the parts.

it’s been a real challenge finding parts, shipping to EGYPT is a real problem (customs is a nightmare) but manages to find things I needed.

I am looking for an outboard temp gauge as I want to have an additional backup to the horn (to monitor temp.) with its own sender.

I’m also looking for a Bimini as the old one is too low.

So had a quick trip (Really tight on time) and finished some small pending stuff.
    • Fastened the console
    • Fastened the side black console for passenger
    • Broke a bolt by applying too much pressure and had to give my self a really hard time
    • Hurt my hand out of frustration ...
    • Tided up a bit
    • Bundled cables together.
I absolutely hate the dashboards finish quality, i got some one to do it and its awful (he used waste fiber so its thickness is not consistent, meaning i cant get a proper seal with the dashboard.
So i will probably use this one temporary and build a really awesome one (cod-named Project AWESOMENESS DASHBOARD).

Next weekend should / HOPE / Pray i can get it in the sea !!! every time there is something stopping me (mostly low tides we have killer coral reef )

You can save a bad dashboard with good sandpaper.

Well been ages since I posted :), I hope every one is safe!

Well after a lot of going back and fourth I finally got the boat to operate and took it out !

My next step is to modify the boat's interior (change carpet to fiber glass, add storage and water tanks, repaint the bottom etc.) I will be taking pictures and documenting them in case i want decide to post that later on :p

I can't thank every one enough who helped me over the years, this has been one of the most rewarding experience in my life.

I couldn't upload the video of the boat in the water (too big :p)

Congratulations. Maybe you could make a shortened copy of your video and post it here. Enjoy your boat.

Thank you great idea, here are my first Youtube trials please do let me know if i botched it up ! :D

I was not running on full throttle, I hit 2 issues first the butterfly was not opening properly with full throttle (which is why first attempt in water had almost no power, i couldn't slide off the trailer!)
So took apart the carbs and did a test surely enough it was opening about 10%.
The second was the cable is not the right size, so even with full adjustment i was still not able to get full throttle (i think im running around 75-80%)
First video was checking adjustment range.

Second video first boat trial after adjustment

    Things left to do:
1- Attach new fuel sender to gauge
2- Replace one old bilge 450 GPH pump with a bigger one 1100 GPH with an automatic float switch
3- Replace remote cable with a shorter one to allow for full throttle.
4- Fiberglass work (thats a huge list of modifications XD but i will get to that soon)

Replaced old winch (broke, welded it and broke again) rusting badly we get really cheap quality ones.

Added a winch (finnally) however i will add a full wheel (spare one that doubles as a front wheel) as the ramp is very unforgiving this wheel cant handle it.
