    Thankyou Sir.
But we measure VCG also as a vertical distance from the keel.

If I interpret this correctly, it could be.

You need to determine the distance perpendicular to the keel. Assuming the keel is straight it is very simple trigonometry only requiring the VCG and the angle of the keel to horizontal. If the keel is not straight then you need to use drawings or CAD. But if the keel is not straight the hull may not be suitable for planning.

Sumit, a drawing of the boat would probably help

Thank you all for the valuable feedback.
Please may I know is there any range for L/B ratio of a planing hull? I have gone through many papers but could not derive on a conclusion. Can someone please quote the reference too?
