Bouyancy line software

    Looking for some program where you can see the waterline on a boat. Like if the boat is 2 m wide and has a 100 kg load, you Will se hos much it sinks.

    Any Free program for this?

    Any naval CAD software allows you to do that. Simply define the draft and the program will, usually, show you the water plane. If the program does not do it, you can section the 3D model using the plane you want.

    Can you tell why Delftship did not work for you ?

    PolyCAD free is highly interactive, you can move CG, modify Displacement, heel the hull, and see what happens to your DWL. Use it along with Delftship, Freeship, Rhino etc.

    Stupid question but what is GZ and GM an abbreviation for? I know GZ means righting lever and GM means metacentric height.
