The American Magic test boat is a rebuilt McConaghy 38.

This came up in a conversation and I've been unable to find an answer. Has the battery capacity of the AC75 been announced anywhere, and how many cycles of the foils (one side down and the other up) does it work out to?

    Cheers,

    Earl

Earl, I haven't seen anything-but excellent question. I doubt that will be known for sure until they sail a 75. The batteries are to be supplied to the Teams......

Just how fast do these puppies go? Are they any faster than a canting ballast boat? IIRC those can go almost 30 kts. Can these?

Happy Thanksgiving, sharpii2! I believe the new NZAC monofoilers will be brushing up against 50 knots.
