    Thank you!
How can we protect the sea environment because of large amount of spilled oil?

Send a heavy-lift ship to take the CSL Virginia to a repair dock or scrap yard, and send a tanker to take over the oil and suck up what's leaking during the operation. After separating by lifting the Virginia the Ulysse can manage by herself I think.

Pretty calm sea out there, don't wait for bad weather.

Thanks for giving me such good idea, and sea condition is money.
Who will pay for the engineering? It is really an unexpected accident. The captain of Ulysse is too careless!

I think to avoid delays in the salvage execution the French government in whose waters it is should pay, who would then afterwards have to reclaim it from the responsible parties or their insurers, of course those responsible also should be keelhauled for causing such an avoidable accident.

    BlueBell . . . _ _ _ . . . _ _ _

The thing was at anchor for crying out loud!
Perhaps they should carry a pollution boom on board for such mishaps.
    The response delay was/is huge.

Gosh. It appears as if Ulysse alters course to port just before the collision, probably resulting in a more severe collision than if it hadn't altered course.
It also appears that Ulysse keeps powering forward after the collision, though of course it is hard to tell what the dynamics would be of Virginia's anchoring system, the two interlocked ships and the momentum of Ulysse.
