Fire Arrow Foil System-first of its kind on any trimaran! Elements developed first by Fire Arrow include:
    1) the first trimaran in history to use uptip ama foils,
    2) the first trimaran in history to use a single wand controlled main foil capable of downforce,
    3) the first trimaran in history to use Two Stage Amas.

Correct. I made a mistake checking his excruciatingly long non-building progress - should have continued ignoring him, silly, meaning both of us.

WOLF daughter of fire arrow - These pictures show the new sliding single seats that allow the crew to move outboard 1.75'. Also shown is the aero package consisting of two adjustable flaps off the aft cross and a spray guard/leading edge off the forward cross. This package also includes the mast step and endplate for the forward extension of the main foot. The hydroturf for the cockpit sole is also shown. Lots of details still to be done but close to the end:

WOLF daughter of fire arrow-- More changes thanks to the sliding seat. Upwind sail area has been increased from 148.8 sq.ft. to 167 sq.ft.. CE is raised from 12.42' to 14.92'(on foils) with a max pressure of 1.79lb per sq.ft. at a RM of 4460ft.lbs.. A little better max pressure than an F18 with 2 180lb crew on trapezes flying a hull(1.53lb/sq.ft).
Target boat weight is 190lb . Max crew weight 220lb for best performance. Max daysailing crew weight 220+130=350lb. Sailing/foiling weight: 410-540lb. At 410lb sail loading is 2.46lbsq.ft. upwind. With a 100sq.ft asy spin/screecher, sail loading is 1.53lb.per sq.ft.. Much better than a Moth with a 180 lb crew which is about 2.86lb./sq.ft..

Memorable quote from JG Baker, Designer and Builder of the Monitor foiler in the 1950's:
" The main need is to lower the wind velocities required for flying in order to increase the opportunities for high speed travel."

As true today as it was back then!!!!

This is my first time seeing this tread, and I've only skimmed the beginning and end pages a bit but going to comment anyway.

I really like the documentation and creative process shown, the trials, experiments and refinements. The craft is cool too, and the fun names give it a life of it's own.

My own experiments with other craft (hovercraft) pale by comparison, I can relate to it at some level though.

I don't understand any attempt to ridicule but I guess there are many levels of self entertainment.

    Safe sailing.

Thanks ,Kach. Appreciate your comments! Ridicule is a reaction of some humans when they don't understand something-it's part of the process of introducing new technology.
