Fast Cat for cargo carrying and research input needed

Buy a second hand fishing boat and run it on biodiesel. Merely using something already built will give you years of carbon credits over a new build and a lot less wastage of donated funds.

A secondhand mast and sails for sail assist would not be too hard to organise and there would be plenty of room for your own fuel plant so you can process used cooking oil on your travels.(send word ahead for oil collection)

Attracting attention is easy, seconder a 100% female crew of varying ethnicities and disabilities. (no, I'm not taking the p*ss)

 

I personally love biodiesel, but I think for the route in question, it's going to result in an expensive trip. I don't know what biodiesel goes for in the South Pacific, but I'm guessing it ain't cheap.

 

RWatson, do you know if that cat is using its electric motor during the video? I can't find out much apart from the fact that it does seem to have battery propulsion.

 

I would expect so, but I can't confirm it.

The best documented small Multihull Rotor system was the one in the Brighter Futures project
