Cabover camper build help...

    The width of the cab with a 3” wall allow would only allow 6’ 1” if you sleep east west, so you probably want to go quite a bit wider. I realize it is semantics; just trying to help.

    Most campers hang beyond the width of the vehicle for this reason.

    As pictured, the camper exterior width is 90". Probably will end up about 74" though. I slept in the backseat of the truck 4 weeks out of 5 over the last year...

    Usually, the mattress should be about 6" longer than the tallest person. A sleeper wider than the cab may interfere with your rearview sight. Is that OK for you?

    My trailer is 102" wide. I think it will help when backing by giving me something to line up with sides of the trailer.
    If I remember correctly, the inside edges of my mirrors are about 90" apart.

    I agree. Backing a trailer that is wider or narrower is always a hassle.
