Im interested in one of Thomas E Colvins plans to build a steel yacht.... Sultana 53
His website although still present has no contact info apart from an email address
    that no longer works.
I have read that one of his sons supposedly sells his design plans still.

Does anyone have any contact information ?

    Hi Peter,

See the thread Cargo Sharpie Design page 3 downwards, I'm not sure if it's still valid info though.

    Good luck !

There is/was (not sure) a 53' Colvin Sultana hull for sale here on the forums, located in Nova Scotia, so you could load her on a flat rack, a 53' hull might just fit on an 40' open ends flat rack I think, and have her shipped as top load on a container ship to Oz, or ask if they have plans for sale, though that would make the existing hull or you boat illegal I think, anyhow, maybe she's sold already, in that case you'll still have the pictures there !!

    flat rack boat shipping - - - - - 53' Colvin Sultana hull - (a 2013 - 2015 thread, so far)

    Good luck, Peter !

yes i see that someone has mentioned tom colvins family is not selling his designs
wish could ask them directly... anyone have contact emails?

Although there may be a few boats out there for sale, i always wanted a newly built one..... just one of those things
suppose. He designed some really good heavy displacement yachts in steel, not the common thing these days
with the racing yuppies out there.

    Hi Peter,

If you subscribe to Linkedin, then you can send a message from there to Tom's son Kenneth, but from the link in the above post #2 we know his March 14, 2016 answer... ‘‘ we are not currently selling any of Tom's plans ’’

On March 14, 2016 Kenneth's Linkedin page said under "Specialties" also "Marine Engineering" and "Boat Building and Design", but these two items are now gone, which I think doesn't indicate that the chances on the sale of Tom's plans are increased since then.

Anyway, if you send Kenneth a message asking for Tom's plans, please keep us posted about the outcome.

    Good luck !
