Can I glue lower trim tab mount to transom?

even though upper shock mount is under water level I'll thouh hull bolt just incase glue doesn't hold.

I don’t want any holes though my aluimuin skinned hull. Certainly don’t want 6 per trim tab )just for bottom 2 more for top of shock).

?1.Can I glue blocks of marine plywood to hull then screw tabs into blockand expect 5200 to hold?

I plan secondary (kicker)10hp engine, so now am concerned w/ rear mounting
    Ray marine depth/sounders transducer.

Since my engine is setback 21”. I could fab an adjustable bracket?

?.2 To avoid trubulant waters will the transducer need to be mounted to engine POD?

?.3 can ducer be mounted under front/center of POD? or side middles way to mount to POD,

ideally I'd like a wingnut holding ducer for easy removal to hide.

    Thanks TB

I'd think that there is a significant force on the tabs to not rely solely on some 5200. If it were me, it'd be through bolted with adhesive sealant. likewise with the transducer. For proper functionality, I'd stick to the tried and true. If you use adequate hardware & sealant you should not have any problems.

Typically with outboard powered boats, the transducer is attached to the transom. It needs to be in "clean" non turbulent water in front of the prop.
Do you have a picture of the transducer you are using?

That's where I'd expect it to be. What were you referring to with "engine POD"?

If it were me, I'd put the transducer down by the drain plug. Either side, wherever there was clearance

I think the engine is mounted a tad low?

yes down by the drain plug would be the safest spot

how about the transducer mounted under front/center of POD? or side middles way to mount to POD,

The transducer attached to the pod would only allow the sounder to work at sub planing speeds. Also there would likely be considerable sonar disruption; there's a lot of turbulence that swirls behind a boat. And depending on the shape of the sonar beam, it may bounce off the transom. The bottom of the transducer should be right at, or below the hull.

I'd use chewing gum, have you ever seen it lift off anything ? Seriously, though, if you have a visceral dislike of drilling holes underwater, you could possibly construct a bracket that is bolted through the hull only above the waterline, to which your tabs are attached.

I’m starting to think the orginale ducers position mite work fine because

The trim tab will only enguage itself (createing extra turbulence) when underway at probabelly Over 15Knt.s
the whole objective is to have the tabs help minimize unstableness at WOT which is 53MPH equivelant to 46knts (remember I used a autmomoblie GPS to as speedo).

w/ more adjustments more speed because I have about 250 300 unused of my 5500RPMs

Edit I still think the engine is a tad high notice when I trim up how the cav.plate starts to plow.
?1.will tabs help lift the stern to prevent the plow?

?2.should I be observeing the depth.finder at this 15 and higher Knt.s speed? I troll slow in fresh water faster in SW upto 15Knt.

When I mount the ducer I will use a long ruler placed on lowest part of boat Keel then have the ruler exactly in the middle of ducers foot.

?3.this means the ducer will be submerged by about 12” (that’s how high the waterlevel is.

Edit the ducer is little light it would be easy to fabup a bracket w/ adjustment .
    Thanks Guy's for advice TB

what I should have wrote was when The transducer attached to the pod I would fab a bracket bolted to POD ducer would be located in it's orginale spot.
