    Film of Randy sailing Sizzor

Does anyone have film of Randy sailing the updated Sizzor?
Randy builds one of *****ing coolest trimaranish boat on the planet with wing-sails and all, but I can't find any film of him sailing? Did he?
He's like a ghost, sailing around in EC 2017, and no one can catch that.
Its exists more GoPro-cameras than people in Florida! :)
And all photos are on land or in drifting nowindcondition!

And from previous year, nothing either?! Whats the secret

best regards from cold and windy Sweden.. :)

Chris, there's footage of Randy launching Sizzor in the 2011 EC in this video:

Are you familiar with the parallelogramming action of the amas?

Thanks :) but as I said he is ghost, show some sailing. Its better quality video of Loch Ness monster. I know it can fold. But with wing sail, planning amas it would be cool to see some action!

It seems Randy may have really designed a wing sail that can be left up all the time, and allowed to weather vane... if so this could be a serious advance.

I will be interested to see I find he shows up with it at an A-Cat event, and how it goes compared to the standard rigs.

    Randy

I would have thought at such an event the sky would be seething with drones !
    Pity.

After listen to the pod-cast about Randy's new wing sail, it actually was a secret with patent and all. Very interesting anyway and looking forward to see the other boats and some sailing videos. :)

"Another boat" is Elderly Care (swedish: äldrevård) of the 78 year old Meade Gougeon, a canoe with hinged floats and an interesting sail, sailed since years in EC and always a bit more refined. Nice! It's always fun to see how others have solved different problem like centre board, jib, lines and so.
    Thanks for sharing ä.

Second behind Sew Sew (Sizzors) in Class V was danceswithmullet Channing Boswell. The little Trimaran was made from foam, glass and epoxy in a short time http://www.duckworksmagazine.com/13/designs/ectri/index.htm#.WM0h9KKmnfB .
To lift the beamy main hull a foam "log" was glued to the bottom. But look yourself wether this was successful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxhwUz1zuU8 (from 9:36).

There have been successful boats before. With his selfdesigned und selfbuilt Trimaran Roger Mann sailed 2013 to a new class3 EC record. He needed two days, 16 hours and seven Minutes to finish: http://watertribe.org/jollyroger/2013/03/ .
