The Apple yacht isn't to my taste but I can get it, M/Y A is striking and I actually an a fan, but S/Y A really may be the ugliest ship I have ever seen. It looks like a door wedge that has grown to immense proportions.

All I know is: I wanna build a boat.

I've been informed that before that is even possible I have to spend everything I have to build a boat, and more, on a nice place to build a boat, one that is spiffy enough to pass muster.

I can't have a shed. A one car garage / shop is too ill equipped. No, there has to be a bathroom, sink, etc and places to put mowers as well a plenty of storage for non-shop and non-boat stuff. A/C and heating too.

It's disheartening. Like being told I have to pay for a big boat only to almost certainly get no boat.

The money involved may be small, chicken feed compared to these yachts, but the expected bills are piling up over my head before I can even start....

Actually, it looks like smaller door wedges humping a larger door wedge grown to immense size.

I suppose that these "yachts", really ships for people with way too much money or access to loans, are really just trophies.

Even with my limited cruising experience I've come to the conclusion that if the back deck of the boat is not within about 10 feet or 3 meters from the water it's really just a hotel that floats.

I'm not envious. It just seems to me that if you draw more than a few feet of water you're really limited as to where you can go. I know these ships have auxiliaries for those purposes but it can't be the same. When I sleep on the boat I like to hear the sounds of nature.

A lot will have big platform/doors that open up close to the waters surface. Some buy smaller cargo ships and convert them to toy carriers that tag along with the yacht. It's kind of tacky to have helicopters, 4wds, jet-skis and whatnot laying all over the place.

If I was that rich I'd go for maximum tacky.

Provided it still came with a nice sheer line.

I wonder if United States is still available?

I replied twice but someone put the kibosh on them.

What I said was that no, the United States is presently at maximum tackiness and is currently unavailable. As an illustration, I had a photo accompanying both posts of a powerful U.S. Official and his wife and a grand piano, he on the bench and she spread out on top of it, all surrounded by excessive Late Baroque Rococo covered in gold leaf or maybe gold spray paint.

Please take the politics elsewhere. Thank you!

4 years of anti-trump posts and 4 years of pro-trump posts in rebuttal is too much to bear and would not be good for the Boat Design Forums to host, so political posts will be deleted.
