An extraordinary underground boat trip in the mine network below Alderley Edge in Cheshire, England. Access is largely enabled and curated by the considerable energies of the Derbyshire Caving Club, these copper mines date back to the Bronze Age, and feature extensively in the writings of Alan Garner.

That was pretty cool, Tiny. Seems there were a lot of leaky pipes.

Hi george, since you are a hovercraft fan, here is a video of a hovercraft who was rescued in the Netherlands by KNRM (rescue squad). Proves a hovercraft, especially a self-built, isn't always safe. The hovercraft capsized, the driver was hurt at his leg and couldn't move in the shallow and cold water. The rescue team were dressed in drysuits. It was a succesfull recovery except for the wreck of the hovercraft.

Well designed into the smallest detail, very nice nautical wooden look, like you expect in the cabin of a yacht. But this man is a yachtdesigner. Explains it.

I used a 20 container to make a spare bedroom with a small second room for shower and toilet at the family property in Central Texas. Kind of cozy but comfortable. The end doors open up to expose a screen wall for ventilation in the summer.

In case of the temporary working space from a nautical engineer, who wants to travel internationally without restrictions, a container is justified. But to have a roofed container in the garden as an example of good architecture? Tjee I don't know. Unless cost reduction was mayor consideration point.

@ Jolly Amaranto, the 20 feet container-home is sustainable therefore good environmental design. One might consider cladding as an alternative building material for the walls as an equal sustainability material to obtain a more architectural design.

The container cabin appears to lack sufficient windows, which apart from the need to have adequate ventilation, adds to claustrophobia. Still, it could produce reasonably habitable accomodation rather cheaply.

Also, you will notice the ridge vent atop the roof.

There are about 30,000 square miles in Central Texas. Which one?
    What town are you near?
    I grew up in Boerne.
