Do you have empirical reasons for thinking that humans can change weather but not climate, or are your reasons only philosophical?

Methane may not last long in the atmosphere — but it drives sea level rise for centuries | Washington Post

Although methane is a much more powerful greenhouse gas than CO2, it only lasts a decade in the atmosphere, compared to the two hundred years that CO2 can. However, a new study, reported in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, warns that the extra heat absorbed by the oceans will stay there for centuries after the methane has been broken down, essentially making climate change irreversible during our lifetime even if we stopped emitting greenhouse gases today.

Got it. Thanks for your candor.

    EDIT TO ADD:
If humans have the capability of altering the climate through nuclear weapons (presumably with God's knowledge, if not with His approval), why wouldn't humans also have the ability to alter the climate by other means, say, by unwittingly adding greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere?

The crack in this Antarctic ice shelf just grew by 11 miles. A dramatic break could be imminent. | Washington Post

The Larsens ice shelves (A, B, and C) are the northernmost ice shelves in Antarctica. The smaller Larsen A (size of San Francisco Bay) and Larsen B (size of Rhode Island) shelves disintegrated in 1995 and 2002, respectively. A huge crack in Larsen C (fourth largest ice shelf, larger than the State of Delaware, almost the size of Scotland) has gotten even longer, now being almost 50 miles, leaving only 12 miles remaining to hold it to the rest of the shelf. A birth announcement is expected sometime this year.

Wow, I thought Wales was a lot farther north. Does it have penguins too?

I wouldn't advise your taking up thinking this late in life. You're apt to lose friends and displease your deity.

I think your attempt to trample on the God-given rights of your fellow man will anger my Deity.

    Who put you in charge?

Who are you to judge my intelligence?

Who are you to try to play God? Surely He will not appreciate your attempt to commit a coup d'état against His kingdom.

Abraham Lincoln had some good advice.

Abe Lincoln was a sharp fellow. You would do well to follow his advice. He also said, "The shepherd drives the wolf from the sheep's for which the sheep thanks the shepherd as his liberator, while the wolf denounces him for the same act as the destroyer of liberty. Plainly, the sheep and the wolf are not agreed upon a definition of liberty."

He also wrote, "Our defense is in the preservation of the spirit which prizes liberty as a heritage of all men, in all lands, everywhere. Destroy this spirit and you have planted the seeds of despotism around your own doors."

Not only do the wolf and the sheep disagree upon the definition of liberty, but there is even some doubt as to which is the wolf and which is the sheep?
