I notice on my GRP boat that at some places electrical cord has been glued to the GRP. Now I need to fix a defect light in the cabin, and want to lead a new cord to this light by glueing it to the surrounding surfaces as well.

Bostik has this so-called cable adhesive (Bostik), but this isn't sold in my part of the world >
do you have any idea what the 'active substance' might be of this particular adhesive ??

    THANKS,
    V.

I would have thought, given the low weight of (12v?) cabling, there would be any number of adhesives that would do the job. Personally, I'd be looking at the gunnable adhesive/sealants like sikaflex/puraflex, everbuild stixall, (available clear) even decorators caulking if I wanted to over paint.

I think I will attach the cord with dots of instant adhesive, and then apply epoxy gel for permanent fastening.
    Would this work ?

    Tape or Tape then glue.
    Gaffer tape is temporary.
You could also use hot glue, then your epoxy.
Gorrilla tape, reviewers say they use it outdoors, and in rain it holds.
