    You are in the sinking ship in the sea with 10/15 feet waves and all you have to save it is a 25/30 ft open skiff. Which boat do you choose and why?... If you have images of this boat, please .... :)

    If you had a good crew, you could probably survive in an open boat such as a Monomoy life boat. It and similar oar powered boats of thier era were in the length range that you mentioned.. While the boat and crew might survive, I'd much rather not have to learn the hard way.

    I have a diesel engine 10hp and need a simple boat, but safe for a distant fishing from shore. I thought in a jolly-boat, but I have yet in doubt....

    He looks like what I have in mind, but I want to use a small diesel engine that I have here without using. What do you think of the jolly boat ?... Thanks

    There is a fellow Dick Pulsifer who has built over a 100 Hampton boats over the years. He uses a 29 horse engine though. http://www.pulsiferhampton.com

    In fact it's a beautiful boat. Glad I could see him with the engine. I can exchange this engine of 10 hp by a 18 hp with a small additional cost. If staying as beautiful as the Dick, will be worth the effort ... Thank you for the precious link... :)
