Ain't that the truth, Hoyt! I was thinking that watching the video. I'm going to have one of those dreams now where you SUDDENLY wake up!

Seems the recent flood waters on the Brazos River scoured out the foundation for a bridge pier. Kind of a roller coaster for the trains.

No picture, and I'm not joining "Trainboard" to see them, whatever that is.

How did we manage to get all those trillions in debt without repairing our infrastructure? The bridge is obviously old.

Well, the Union Pacific is spending a few coins to repair it. I believe it was built in the 1890s.

Staging equipment to replace a second pier farther out in the channel. Cool little tow boats.

Once every few years or so I see something which really hits me as brilliant.

This year this has got to be it - I'm stoked.

Sorry but it is both butt-ugly and has an incredible amount of windage. I'm afraid that does less than nothing for me.

I'm sure those are not it's only shortcoming, but you have to weigh the positive with the negative.

In certain applications I'm sure it will come out ahead of more conventional alternatives. A boutique application rather than one size fits all.

I like weird, I like different, and like how I see this craft works despite what I assume to be additional costs and complexities.

I like the earlier prototype too.

311 mph on that seems risky.

This unholy marriage was posted, by the owner in a non-boat group, with talk of restore-repower. Looks like a high COG nightmare in rough conditions.

Ugly does not bother me but none of those boats are comfortable to ride in with that angle of plane and bums deep in the water in such a small sea. Must be an easier way to travel on bumpy water. I am going the ground effect way, just skim the surface.
