sailing with the foksail only

Because sail boats lean outward when turning, they try to throw you overboard.
My inner ears cannot handle that well. Planing boats and aircraft lean inward, keeping you firmly in your seat.

 

Hi there in Norfolk, I am pleased I was wrong and that yòu folks there also have a free boat show.
That is actual a better way to promote our sport and let sponsors and advertisers pay for the cost. Thanks for strengthen the view that sailing with the jib only is possible. Bert

 

Yes, I thought already that to live at 45 degrees is not the most comfortable way to live. If you are the skipper, at least you can hold yourself onto the steering wheel when the boat takes a dive to the left or to the right. Bert

 

I have sailed a flying jr with the jib placed in the main's position
up wind in high winds that were too much for the main alone
and I needed to get home to an anchored boat to sleep

not ideal but worked that stormy night
