What is method of other programs used to calculate hydrostatic properties？

Only 2 or 3 "top of the art" hydrostatic/ stability calculation software, as MAAT HYDRO, calculate hydrostatic properties by direct integration of the solid.

If a ship's heel angle more than 90 degree， can MAAT HYDRO calculate the static properties?

 

Yes, you are completely free to define the heeling range when you calculate a transversal stability :-180° to 180 °, 0° to 360°, -30° to 80°, 0° to 90°, 0° to 40° ...
It depends of the regulation you will use.

 

I do not know what you mean by "static properties" but any serious program is able to calculate the properties of the hull at any angle of heel and any trim.
Incidentally, the calculation using solid models may have some advantage (what?) in relation to the calculation with surfaces, but the results are equally good with both types of model.
My software, ARQN, works with solid models and apart from certain facilities for making model, I would not say that the results are better than those obtained with other programs.
If you are looking for software for naval architecture, I recommend you choose one in which model creation is easier, then, of course, that perform all calculations, and not more, than you'll need. The aids system, manuals and tutorials are very, very important, and post sales assistance is critical.

If you want to learn, there is the MAAT Hydro demo version which is free.
When you will be a professional, maybe you will want to use quality software made for professionals. In this case, there is no choice, you have to pay for it.
