Low effort boatbuilding

Imagine building a composite boat where there was no wet laminating, no cutting or grinding of cured laminate and best of all, no fairing. The boat in the animation is a special purpose 25' catamaran, but the build method is readily adaptable to many boat types.

 

Looks like a great technique. The section on carbon masts is interesting too. Great performing website, very quick to load.


PS. It would be great to have a material cost estimate on each of the designs so long term 'voyeurs' of your designs could get a feel for the size of wallet they would need. Yeah - I know things 'depend', but some ballpark figures would be very helpful.

 

Glad you like it. Sorry about the lack of materials costs, but these are too variable from place to place to be worthwhile. The materials list is on the plans and we will include it on the web page as the new designs are completed. Send that to your local materials supplier and they will give you a quote. Ask for bulk (drums, rolls) prices where applicable and ask that any future materials be at the same unit cost even if they are in smaller quantities.
