    Hello,

I'm actually working in a project for which I have to design a V foil (actually it is a catamaran with 2 v foils in the middle of the hulls - like hydroptère but 2 hulls instead of 3 - and 1 T foil in the propeller. I've already studied T foils using Xfoil, but after some research I don't know from where should I have to start to dimension the V foil (incident angle, surface, etc).

I would appreciate if someone could give me some advices

    Thank you!

Take a look at AVL. It can handle lifting surfaces with arbitrary shapes and has a linear free surface boundary condition that approximates the free surface at high speeds. It's written by the same authors as XFOIL.

You do realize XFOIL can't represent a T foil, right? It is only to calculate the section characteristics for two-dimensional flow. You would need to add the drag from XFOIL to the AVL results for either a T foil or a V foil.
