You could also take a CO2 fire extinguisher down to inflate the bags if that would make it easier.

Or you could open some packages of baking powder underwater. :p You can move a passenger plane by yourself if you have the patience to go slow. You could fill the bags a flask at a time just free diving or with a weight and no scuba. It would not rise at a dangerous speed then.

Ok just throwing this out there ;) would this work put the winch on the deck reinforce underneath with 3/4" ply to bolt the winch into then run the synthetic rope down the bow roller and lift her up to about 5 foot below the boat and reverse to shore, I have a 115 hp merc on the back so it should balance out a bit.

I think it is too heavy to be using that runabout, What weight do you imagine would be involved, hanging off the bow ?

About 500kg the weight of a 5lt V8 and a 1-1 borg warner gearbox the rest of the boat should float.

I was thinking something similar, it is too much for the runabout even if the hardware did not bust. It might sink another boat !

Remember that when submerged the metal only weighs as much as its weight in air minus the weight of the water it displaces.

Yes, but seeing iron is about 7 times water weight/volume, you still have a heavy object. No way I'd want 500 kg hanging off the nose of that runabout.

It's Lough Ree in Ireland, this has been the search area so far with 10 boats found in all
