    ah thanks Phil
The skipper was willing to talk, but my French gal, was so shy, we had to move away
She is well maintained, but wow, you need to know sail trim on these boats because the rudder is in a time warp, and as you probably know, helm balance is crucial, like reef main early, all of my sailing(57 years) has been in sloops or cutters
    elle est belle
ah the rudder is not as Herroshoff as I imagined
she is on the wind in abt 10-12 knots, she is stiff a beautiful masterpiece, shame the yard is no longer building

My apartment is about one hour drive from the Shenzhen Hong Kong train station boarder.
When I first came here over 8 years ago, the first few years the army and navy would arrive and have a month training sessions on the beach front.
Looking out my apartment window back then there are several huge battle ships anchored and the beach is lined with hundreds of soldiers dong full on Kung Fu each morning and would swim to and from the battle ship after their Kung Fu training, there are many divers in scuba gear riding like horses, mini submarines.
They had forty modern 10m long twin hull speed boats with twin 350hp out boards they used daily and parked outside my apartment and used a crane to lift in and of the water each day.

I will never EVER understand drivers, the key is to crawl so water does not rip into ones electronics, not put up a great bow wave

Excellent, and a boat is involved.

BTW, A couple of days ago I heard someone on the news complaining the F-35 was less maneuverable than the F-16, cost more, and didn't climb as fast. He stated it really only needed more power, more wing area, and a lower weight. I say, good luck getting more power, and a larger wing, whilst reducing weight. Besides, why was he comparing a dedicated strike aircraft, the F-35, with a dedicated point defence fighter, albeit converted to carrying external stores.
