This month marks 6 years since the members of this fine forum welcomed me into your midst.
I cannot express how much it means to me.

I like your humour (spelt properly) and look forward when you add another year to your announcement, that everyone will totally ignore.

And I haven't been drinking. It is the end of our football season and the final is tomorrow, although tomorrow to you is probably yesterday. I have just put a lining on my stomach so to speak.

whens the next boat hoyte.

 

Nothing definite, but I hope to either start a new boat by the end of 2016 or find an old hull and fix her up. Whichever way I choose, the boat will be a small one for sailing, probably lateen rigged, with a small auxiliary outboard for getting into and out of port.

 

Whats small. i think about 15 would be a good length. You could even set it up for camping with a cockpit cover and a bit of storage.

 

Hoyt, you are more than welcome. You probably have more friends in this forum than anyone of us.

 

I hope for something just under 16' and about a 5' beam. Could set the mast with an awning arrangement and mosquito netting for camping. fore to aft seating with conversion into a sleeping surface would be a cinch.

 

I seriously doubt that. You underestimate yourself.

 

Sounds good. Thats the sort of boat i will have one day. Easy to operate and maintain.
