How can you enjoy something if you have to turn it into a fortress to feel reasonably secure, it is hardly designed to be optimal for a pleasure cruise in a nice outdoor climate, you might as well be inside a hotel.

I am worried the rear deck is a long way above the water . You would need a flying gaff to get the fish on board.

    My sentiments exactly.

What else does any one do with money ? In reality it is worthless and unfortunately it created a false perception of "worth" and values.
Remember the guy who fell with a plane full of money into a snowy place ? He burned the fortune just to make it through the night without freezing. Even a couple of logs would have been worth more. And he was still hungry as hell when he got rescued.

Imagine that boat is your friend's, what will you give him on his birthday ? I have a couple of wealthy "friends", almost impossible to give them anything (I can afford) they will appreciate simply because their value system is based om something else.

Waiting for the invitation :D I was going to say put your money where your mouth is, but that will just fuel the wrong fire and probably taste bad too ;)

Fewer mirrors would be my choice. Less seeing yourself before endless hours primping and dressing up so that you don't have to cringe.

I actually like A from the front or fore-quarters ***, but my reaction when I first saw a picture of her transom was to comment: Sadly, this is the end.

*** prior to seeing her I'd actually made a DelftShip model of a MUCH smaller stabilized monohull, 99' IIRC, with a main hull of somewhat similar appearance.

Best thing to give your friends regardless of wealth is your time, shared over coffee or a tipple/whatever.

If there is any history to trust the aggressor might be Putin or the other Russian billionares.

    I agree it's just ugly.

Very true, and also help when needed. Moral help in hardships; a simple phone call can make miracles, listening when necessary can save. True friends do not give a s*** of the value of gifts, and if wealthy they do care to never put the less fortunate friend in a awkward position.
You can count the true friends of a life on the fingers of one hand and you won't arrive to five, I have the suspicion that for many the count is zero. I have been very lucky I had three and the last one is alive and well.
The others are buddies, social acquaintances, neighbours you appreciate, even family but not friends, as they disappear like flies in winter when you are sick or in difficulties. Friend is a misused word.
Friendship is a free choice. Love without the problems of sex, gender or family like said a true friend of mine. Asked about his friendship with La Boetie, Montaigne answered; Because it was him; because it was me.

Putin is aggressor??? He is protecting my country the Crimea from Nazy gangs and puppet 'Ukrainian government' backed by the US. I am Ukrainian and I fully support what he is doing. This is not what Your news say, heh?
This is interesting link about Ukrainian forces used after the coup and in Eastern Ukraine. Are You with them guys? I am not!

US invaded/bombed more countries than any other nation in last 50 years... Just remember that...

The exterior is ugly, but is that really important compared to the interior?
I'd live in a quonset hut if all the money spent on making a house look like a
"house" went on making the interior more comfortable and suited to my lifestyle.

I've been thinking about this post since I've first read it. If there are security concerns it may have more to do with the pirate issue. They may not always stay where they currently fester may be the thought.

We have to live with anti- Russian propaganda and beheadings done that justifies genocide after genocide on millions by the West (America) which has nothing to do with anything other than destroying one country after another.
Nobody has any business intruding in another's country except to commit crime.
