cheap boat plans

    can any of you recommend me some cheap boat plans that uses regular width wood? i was going to order the hartley praam dingy http://hartley-boats.com/dinghys Praam.html but after hearing that hartley plans doesnt use regular width wood i decided to look for one that does

    Look at glen-L marine plans. they list all materials in standard lumber They have been around for 60 years +

    the glen l plans are nice but they cost more then double that of the hartley

    How much do plans cost for a pram dinghy ? Cannot be much for such a simple thing.

    Sweet God, if you have a problem with the price of half a century old plans from Glen-L, you're going to really have big issues when you start buying materials. What's the problem, $50 bucks - really? Maybe you should just rent something every time you want to go out . . .

    haha your post made me laugh, nothing wrong with wanting to find a deal, if hartley sells them that cheap im sure someone else does.

    Here are some links to free plans, they are old designs but for a dingy there might be something worth building. no fiber glass over plywood, but traditional lumber designs mostly. worth a look.

    I don't think anyone will get rich selling these particular people, boat plans. People do love a bargain. But if time is money, you can waste a lot of time tracking one down.
