How you get on it to begin with is a question. It doesn't look stable at all, so staying on it is the next problem, which is quickly followed by the first problem, again.

I think the dog has questions about the whole contraption also.

I think the maker may have had a fixation on older Romulan ship design.

Hmmmm ... adding wing tip buoyancy tubes held out of water when level could help stability....

I think you've nailed it there, Ru - he's even had a special Romulan suit made:

Please NOTE: The MyArk shark special, the rocking horse thrill ride and Spiderman suit are not patent pending by me !!

However I shall be back soon to show off the latest from the Frogger fabrication shop. Testing so far has been fun and awesome.

    That is all...

You know, since I was a kid when I swim underwater I've used just my legs for propulsion and have held my arms forward, hands held to use like diving planes. As a technique goes it actually kinda works, at least for me. Let's me roll and stuff. Always felt like I was struggling less to stay under when trying to go from one end of the pool to the other. Maybe if you connected your paddle blades to a pivot, reshape them for lower drag, they could be used that way?

    bi-flapper boat experiment

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1JCBwp2RnY

An oscillating foil drive boat that uses the new WCBE circuit to mix and auto-flap the servos....the module also allows for steering...a nice feature that works well on this first test of the experimental prototype boat....I purposely chose this scum surfaced pond to demonstrate how well the system handles the thick algae. A prop would eventually get bogged down and stall. The same circuit will soon be tested on a blimp. The zip lock bag keeps the electronics dry and the mast is for the antenna.

The BECCA, Bi-flapper Experimental Craft for Calculating Angles.......an oscillating foil catamaran optimized for determining the most efficient foil size/shape, boom length, sweep angle and rate.

Further development of Prototype 3 and 4.
This Video includes 2 possible prototypes for foil propulsion during week 4.
This is a project done for Middlesex University

    Frogger technology in its infancy

A rigid blade just doesn't work as well... hence the patent filing !!

I would suggest that employing a variable cam Kjell Wiggle-drive in the Prototype 3 or 4 designs of yours will significantly help with your movements to be not so complex...
