Random Picture Thread

Ki Stanshall (who I believe bought the boat and converted it to a theatre/restaurant/artists lodgings and sailed it from Sunderland to Bristol) and her late husband Vivian Stanshall are both very interesting characters. I don't know much about Ki, but Vivian is regarded as the granddaddy of English eccentricity/absurdism. He fronted the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah band, and developed Sir Henry at Rawlinson End. The Bonzos worked a lot with the Beatles and Monty Python in the late 60s. Rawlinson End is my favourite stuff - particularly bizarre.

The Banksie has recently been 'removed for conservation' and will be returned to free public display on land.

Its position on the Thekla's hull will become a rolling exhibition of street art.

Those pits on the hull all around the rower look to be almost terminal, there can't be much metal thickness left where all those are.

Spy Master Mini Submarine

The UK-based spy equipment manufacturer created the one-person submarine to plunge roughly 40 feet below the sea with a battery that lasts for about 60-80 minutes. The Mini-sub Spy Master enables the user to explore underwater without having to wear a cumbersome tank and BCD Jacket. The submarine is slow, with a speed of only 1 mile per hour. It is £ 12,000( about $19,000).
