Hello everyone , I'm new here.I have a big proglem.:confused::confused:I have a project ab Passenger Ferry in my university.I have no idea, how I can start.in this way, I know that firstly I need a database including ship displacement, length, beam, draft, and others that What I need more ab ships like :
    • Monohull,Only passenger(not cars)
    • Passenger capacity: 900 pax (winter), 1200 pax (summer) (regulation 32)
    • Service speed: 13 knots @ %75 available power in calm water
    • Route: Beşiktaş – Kadıköy
    • Number of voyages per day: 20 (without refuelling)
    • The vessel should enable access for disabled passengers (regulation 107,110,111,112,114,115)

WinRaf, the coefficients of the hull seem a bit low, does not it seem to you?. Why is there such a difference between the moulded beam and beam of immersed volume?
I suppose you are joking, because the proportions are crazy.
Cagdaskutlu, when you have the database, send me a copy, please.

Yes, working 24 hours a day the boat has to make a trip every 72 minutes. Taking into account time to download and upload again passage and the time needed for docking and undocking, the journey takes about 35 minutes.
But although this seems crazy, it has nothing to do with the boat's dimensions, which may be those of a normal boat.

In fact, with his demands, I drew quickly a normal boat 100 meters long

    the concept is this

    vaporetto.png

to transport 1,200 passengers, 100 meters long is right
and the prismatic coefficinte very low serves to make the required 13 knots with very little power, and therefore operating costs very low
Remember that is a school exercise
