including fish eggs and frog legs.

You guys from down under are just jealous because grasshoppers I mean kangaroo's, you know, those jumpy thingies, don't make such nice biltong, prabably will have a kick in it too.

I just finished about a kilo of dry wors and I'm wading through the biltong now. The wife's dog can be anywhere in the yard, but when I touch the bag it appears right beside me with that "you owe poor me" look.

The biltong takes a while because I have to hide it when customers and friends come here. Bloody bstrds will eat it all up.

A friend is someone who only visit you when he wants something from you (for free).

Previously we went shark fishing and encountered quite a few roadkills... the though did come up to salvage a few cats and dogs for bait.

How do you hunt those kangaroo's anyway ? With a bent barrel for when it jumps ?

Yeah ! I was gonna say it's not a matter of "we know how to shoot", it's a matter of knowing when to pull the trigger, and that over under is going to be waste of bullets if you're our of phase like Phil says.

Since you're so far under, does your biltong hang vertical or does it hang horizontal ?

An aboriginal told me that when you sneak up on a Kangaroo and it senses you are there and starts to hop off, you let out a shrill whistle. The Kangaroo stops and looks around to see where the sound came from.

Yes, most game when something spooks them will make a stop to see what scared them when you let out a sharp whistle. You have 3 seconds to aim and shoot, beyond that it keeps going.

Except of course if it is something like the Cape Buffalo. I haven't come across anyone who would be so foolish as to indicate their position to them yet. They are nice cows and bulls with one hell of a temper.
