You get a plan view of the stern bossing layout if you read the paper by Kane linked in Post #3.

NavalSArtichoke, thanks for the information. That is precisely the information I used to do the job.
In post # 16 I presented the results at the time and in post # 20 Johnhazel told me he was glad I had not scanned the appendices, transcribe literally: "am happy That you are just making the unappended hull (without rudder, props, bilge keels etc.)".
After all this, NavalSArtichoke, if you'll tell me what you need, I'll be happy to oblige you, within reason.

My big canoe race 120 miles non-stop starts tonight, Sat July 26 at 9:00pm EST. After a few days recovery I will come back with some modifications to the bow bulb part of the offset table.

Thankyou TANSLE for getting a clean offset table out to us. And thanks Leo for taking up the project too.

See you in a few days.

OK here is my first try to get a little closer on capturing the bulb bow for Michlet input. I also nudged the hull lines a bit to make it appear smoother from the waterplane lines view. Lastly I filled in the skeg cutouts where the rudder and propellor go. The table of offsets is in the inSSUSmod01.mlt file. This is just a start.

PS 120 miles last Saturday paddling a canoe 9:00PM to 2:30 PM Sunday. 17.5 hours nonstop placing us 52nd out of 82. An hour slower than expected due to my injuries.

Good job, very meritorious. However, as I know the boat, let me make three comments:
    - The feet of some of the frames aft should not be in the baseline but something higher. In the Longitudinal Profile you can see where they endds, the lowest point of each section.
    - The curves of the central figures do not really know what it represents but these irregularities in its central part are not possible.
    - Although in the fairing seems that the bulb is poorly defined, the 3D model can be seen that the definition is correct.

If you need to fix something, I may have more resources to do so than you.
    Cheers

Thanks TANSL I will follow your suggestions. I do see that in comparison to the reference diagram that the bulb shap is not good. However I have taken the first step to insure that at the 8' waterline there is no narrowing of the hull behind the bulb. So I need to restore the bulb shape and keep the hull width aft of the bulb.

For what it's worth, the figure shows the water lines on the bow of the boat and noted with yellow water line at 2400 mm (about 8 ')

OK a little more progress here. The bulb is getting closer to looking like the reference drawing. There is still a lot to do to before the offset table really represents the actual bulb shape.

Yes, that is the area aft of the bulb that is narrower than the bulb. The reference drawing shows the hull being wider there. See waterlines of Fig 1a (continued) in the paper linked from post #3.

Yes, you're right, the first water line in the document post #3, is as you say. What we do not know is the height above the baseline of that water line.

    :)

Thanks for the feedback on my work so far. Your skills and graphics tools are clearly more well suited for this business. If you decide to go farther along with this I would like to have the 3d model as well as the offsets in the 81x81 underwater profile and also the form that you made for Leo.

BTW you have already saved me 100+ hours of work that it would have taken me to get the first result. Thanks!

It has been a pleasure working with you on this ship.
You can download the 3D model from post # 56 and the table of offsets for the 81x81's on the post # 33. Leo's data are in post #51. If this is not what you need, just tell me.
