Auckland. Last day of Autumn

Fabulous day on Saturday. Little wind early on. 8 - 10 knots filled in after midday. Hoping for a nice mild winter with plenty of good sailing days. The cat is Graeme Delaveau's (designer of mine) own boat, with new rig and sails.

 

I can remember when Superbird to Cruz was called just Superbird ... and the catamaran was a near sister to this cat, Supplejack. The Tennant designs were launched in 1977, but obviously there have been some Delaveau changes; here is SJ on Home beach in mid-Waitemata area for a bottom clean, 1979.

It was great to see you out yesterday on your fabulous yellow trimaran.
She really does have a decently sized and very comfortable cockpit that doesn't compromise the cabin accommodation, which is surprisingly voluminous and usefull with plenty of sitting headroom and I think around 5'7'' headroom. She is also an exciting and dependable performer and I don't think you've even had a reef in the main yet.
Looking forward to my next invite out on 'Mysterex'.

Very nice trimaran,

Looking at GD's 6.4 and 7.6 designs, it appears yours is a bit of both.

Would you be so kind as to tell me more about the details - or provide a link if you have details online.

Any building pics and pics of the interior?

LOA? BOA? Weight? Payload?
Anything unique about the build process? Was it an easy build?
