    I love this photo of some crazy guy touring Nepal on Honda's mighty 6 cylinder, 1,000cc CBX in the late 70's. I still own one of these bikes today, had it nearly 20 years now...

    The epitome of irrational adventure.

    Lets see it going up a steep hill doing 20 mph, with twenty cars backed up behind it . You would get better results from a recumbent cycle

    Slower than that as I recall. I used to see a few of the ones below after WW2 around London England and there were some real snazzy ones with what I assume was an enclosed plywood body, hinged door, looked very nicely made - definite boat builder influence I'd say.
