Russian ghost ship

Is it really possible in 2014 for something this size to float around in the North Atlantic for a year and there being no clear indication of where it is ? And as for the rats.......I doubt they'd find too many in prime condition after that length of time !

 

Oh yeah that thing-was arrested in Newfoundland and sold for scrap.

Rats..well they can eat each other, but it'd be curious to see how long they lasted. Maybe there's enough food stores and wood aboard for them to eat?

 

The ocean is huge and ships are small. Once out of the shipping lanes, I doubt anyone would see it, visually or on radar; and if they did, they would only pay attention if they were about to run it aboard. Yes, there might be other assets that could find it, even drifting cold as it is, but life/nation security is not at stake. <<shrug>>

 

if the original company that was going to scrap it does not want it, some country's military can use it for target practice before it becomes a navigation hazard or runs aground somewhere.

 

Current thinking among those who know something about the subject is that she sank last year......

 

Or the battery went dead.
