Hope the rest of you can see it. It seems I'm having a computer problem and/or aproblem with the video being exceedingly poor. The screen just went off with a big exclamation point taking the place of the picture and an otherwise white screen-for the third time-missed the start. Such a damn shame -I was looking forward to this so much....
--standings won't be up until 3 hours after the start..
    --tracker is down!(9:42pm)

Not even on NZ TV or NZ Sky Sports this year.

Does not even get a mention on ALJAZERA Boxing day sports News. Nearly ALL OTHER MAJOR SPORTS ON BOXING DAY GOT A MENTION.

    Worst coverage ever.

    From the Site : : :

    For the spectators.

Whatever the results of the Rolex Sydney Hobart 2013, one thing is certain - when the race starts at 1pm on Boxing Day it will capture the imagination of sailors and spectators worldwide, as some 600,000 people converge on Sydney Harbour foreshore and millions more tune into the action on TV and online!

    What BS.

Lets hope those Juan K boats hold up better down south than poor old Cheminees Poujoulat did in the Channel. It was some storm here in S England, the recorders arond the Isle of Wight were over 60Kn with 92 mph at the Needles. Not just the speed but the sustained period, several hours in eth day and a return at night too.

Thank goodness the crew Stamm and Gillou were saved. Sorry for cross link but may be relevant.

UPDATE-5:06 pm EST-Loyal still ahead but now only 7.3 miles in front and both at the same speed 13.6 knots. Speeds varying a lot.

Lastest From Aljazeera News. Looks like they are giving it a mention plus the Ashes test.

Super maxis lead yacht race charge, as defending champion Wild Oats trails Perpetual Loyal by three nautical miles.

Perpetual Loyal is gaining speed and advancing towards Hobart faster and faster with distance in front on the rest of the fleet.

At 26 Dec 2013 20:27 GMT which is 08 hrs 27-12-2013 NZ time was 10 nautical miles in front.

So Doug they have gained further and are sailing faster than any other competitor in the SH.

"Aboard Wild Oats XI, navigator Tom Addis explained their falling behind “It was a messy night, lots of storms off the coast and we got tangled in the tail end and lost ground on (Perpetual) LOYAL and Giacomo – so we’ve got a bit of catching up to do- but we’re pulling back Giacomo now,” he said off Jim Delegat’s VOR 70 from New Zealand, which is close by and continues to lead the race overall."

[Probably on handicap] he is talking about. !

"Race officials warned the Sydney to Hobart fleet to expect STORM - FORCE winds plus waves of up to 12 metres in height or more on Saturday."

Race tracker does not still seem to be working.

and nothing in the standings. Got very little coverage in NZ and no live coverage on SKY SPORTS or free to AIR.

So Ocean, why the "BS" call in your earlier post?
