passenger capacity

good day.

may I ask how one can determine the passenger capacity of a Passenger vessel? about 45 meters in length.

i tried to search online, but all i came across with are capacities for small boats.

thank you very much. any applicable information will really help me.

 

How do you want to take them?, standing, sitting on chairs, in individual cabins, each in his own car or how?

It was probably designed to carry a certain number in accordance with the society that the regulators in your area use. Can you tell us a bit more about what you have? Ferry boat? Tour boat? Also, where does it operate, rivers, open ocean? Are there effective regulators in your neck of the woods, or not.

 

You are in the Philippines and you can search on line regarding MARINA regulations on Passenger Ferry.

They have regulation on seat spacing on pitch such as shoulder to shoulder spacing and front to back spacings and much more. The regulation is complete.

If you cannot search by site, go to MARINA, the state regulating body. It is now located in Taft Ave, facing Luneta.

 

The passengers capacity depends of the free surface on the decks and the stability of the boat.

How many decks do you have in your boat?, what service have in the decks (how many bathrooms (normaly one for each 75 passengers), do you have bar? how many stairs do you have? (two minimum)...

Normaly in 45m the capacities ranges are from 250 passengers (monohulls with single deck) to 500 passengers in catamarns with two decks. (Its a approx range, is possible find boats with more capacity, depends the application of the boat, not is the same one high speed boat than one river boat.

my ship has three decks. 1 deck containing cabins, 1 with beds, and the nav. Deck for the wheelhouse and crew quarters.

 

Your boat is a monohull passenger boat with private cabins? Only one deck for passengers? (Cabins + service common areas)

What most influences the size of your boat is probably the number of cabins you want to have.
Also you would have to clarify the number of public spaces and services that should bring your boat: lounges, dining rooms, rooms with seats, kitchen, rooms for AC, laundry ... Besides the number of passengers there are many other factors that define the volumes you need.
It is normal for crew spaces and services are placed in the lower decks and passenger spaces on upper decks, central and aft, where there is usually more space.
