Some of the work Im doing to get her ready.....

Soft spot in the floor repair

New Diamond plate transom(also had to remove and replace some of the wood transom under the fiberglass) Pretty solid now!

Adding new indoor/outdoor carpeting( it looks black, but its a dark blue)

I also have all new handles for the bow and rear.

I run an old (69ish) Johnson 25hp that my buddy is currently going though to be sure we dont have any suprises when we get to the lake! lol

    Tamco Limited

Can anyone give me some info on this boat? I want to install a motor but can't fiqure out what it had. It was fixed in place and used a rudder for steering. Dang kid I bought it from lost it but i think i can replace it. it has a hatch up front for fuel and hatch in the back over the motor. this is a rideon style. I don't have a picture of the whole boat right now since it's in Northern Cal. I think this is a Sting-Ray made by Tamco. It looks very cool! About 8' long. and looks like a early Aqualark but has a hard cover over the motor where the lark has a snap on vinyl cover behind the seat.

thekid, if you have more pics..I would love to see them. That looks like a watercraft that sat for years at a local hardware/horder's place near me

THanks I would like to talk to the guy who's Dad bought the Tamco boat company. This seens to be a realy early boat from there. It must of had a outboard that had the center removed and the head bolted to a adaptor plate and the lower unit bolted directly to that. I'll try to get my friend to take some pictures up where it id stored. Any info could help Thanks AND cool boat bud,

I also spoke to the son of the once owner of Tamco (the builder of the Aqua Lark) a couple of years ago, Michael is a very nice guy and well worth contacting.

    Suzuki Wetbike

I worked on one of these "Wetbikes" many years ago and recall it having a Suzuki outboard powerhead inside the hull with the jet unit sitting on the ride plate below the hull, perhaps you could find one and transplant the engine and drive unit?

    Kidd,
that is a model built by Tamco before my father purchased the company. I'll never forget those funky steering wheels. We had crates of them sitting outside the Beecher, IL plant. Top rider you say? Those were my favorite model, I personally had three. You can safely put up to a 30HP on all of the Lark boats. I had a 40 on mine for one summer. Yep, one summer. Very fast, very scary, and very dangerous. Went like heck though.

Thanks, definitely looks closer to my hull style(other then that fancy hood scoop! Lol) then the pics of all the Larks in this thread
But its funny that I remember a decal on the bow of mine that resembled the aqua lark's. You can still kinda see the outline throught the paint. Wish I would have taken before pics.....

I still have my Aqualark, although I lost the prop, spacer, castle nut, and washer somewhere in the lake last year. Still searching for the spacer so I can use it next year.
