I'm sure someone will have posted this before, but I was reading up on some philosophy texts the other day, and was reminded of the paradox created by Erwin Schrödinger in 1935, in which a cat in a sealed box may or may not be dead, dependent on some random event having occurred.

And I wondered if perhaps the purely hypothetical, or even the as-yet-unbuilt catamaran designs that appear here from time to time might be referred to as "Schrödingers Cats"......

    Tongue in cheek, of course...!!! ;) ;) :D :D

NOT possible, Schrödinger never existed - prove otherwise, and his cats escaped.

I had a further thought on this subject....

Could an incomplete catamaran build be referred to as a "try-maran".....???

Did they close the jokes thread, because our politicians got too political?

    :)

Or, did you see Schrödinger's ghost, or his cats' ghosts?

    It is in Schrödinger's box?

Maybe it is there, maybe it isn't?

Now you see it, now you don't....

    Anyways, all humour is relative....

The once was a young woman from bright
Who could travel at the speed of light
    She set out one day
    In a relative way
    And returned the previous night.

A further thought, and this is more for the monomaranners.....

Would a philosophical approach to boat-building require carvel Plancks..??

hahahaha! I love IT, I will have to use that on my blog.

So, many people today really DO NOT understand Science. It amazes me at how far down America has dropped in Science and Logic .....

I hope you guys down under are not following our lead .....

Only by way of Planck's theorem ....

Using that, they really could build boats out of ice .... again ....

Well, when the Chief Scientist disagrees with the Prime Minister the former is sacked.

Although they don't call it that any more. "Moving on" is the expression de jour....

Well, I for one am glad they 'moved on' the Prime Minister who got the reporter sacked.

    :)

Maybe we could move on some of the same types in the 'up over?' Sad how a few rotten apples ruin a whole barrel - quickly.

Well, boats have curves, and loads of space, and apparently all we need is time to build one.....

So is boatbuilding a kind of "universe-al" truth...???

And rather than QED, should I close with E=MC²
